Star of Courage Award for Joanne Lucas

Our own local hero, Joanne Lucas will receive the Star of Courage Bravery Award for rescuing Jason Cull after a shark attack at Middleton Beach

Joanne Lucas, a volunteer at the Middleton Beach surf life saving club in Albany in Western Australia’s south, heard the man’s screams for help and swam out to him, pulling him to safety.
