Severe Weather Warning

The first major storm warning of the season has been issued for late Wednesday/early Thursday morning. Lets hope we don’t get the rain like last November which flooded out much of the CBDA strong cold front will approach the southwest of the state later on Wednesday.
Widespread damaging winds to 110 kilometres per hour are expected to develop in the Southwest District early Thursday morning and extend to the remainder of the area during Thursday as the front moves east.
Heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in the Southwest District by early Thursday as the front approaches and extend into the Lower West during Thursday.
On Thursday higher than normal tides may result in inundation of low-lying
coastal areas. Heavy surf conditions are forecast and significant beach erosion is likely.

The FESA – State Emergency Service advises people to put away or weigh down loose objects, clear gutters and downpipes from leaves and blockages and prepare an emergency kit with portable radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit.
