Here we go again…

May 11, 2009

This  Saturday, 16th May 2009, Western Australians again get their chance to decide the fate of Daylight Savings. Certainly there is more opposition to Daylight Savings in Western Australia than other states. Most of the complaints come about the March ending date, when darker mornings inpact more people. Unfortunately the referendum will not be giving the option to approve daylight saving at an earlier finishing date.

This is the wording on the ballot:

Daylight Saving Referendum

Are you in favour of daylight saving being introduced in Western Australia by standard time in the State being advanced one hour from the last Sunday in October 2009 until the last Sunday in March 2010 and in similar fashion for each following year?
